About Garstang St Thomas’ CE School

Welcome to the website of Garstang St Thomas’ CE School. We are delighted to share our news, successes, links and achievements with you via our website. We are a school that offers high standards and an excellent family atmosphere, underpinned by our Mission statement. We believe in working together in developing a caring, learning community. Garstang St Thomas’ does not believe in letting the grass grow under our feet!, in fact grass grows on the roof of our new Rural Wyre Children Centre on campus, offering services for families with children from 0-5 years old - from health matters to social care – ensuring the full-extended offer – an entitlement for all young families.

Ofsted recently described our school as: ‘The school provides a good education for its pupils and has some outstanding features. It provides good value for money and serves the local community very well.’

Through developing our Christian Ethos we aim to promote a stimulating education

  • ensuring every member of the school is valued and cared for as a member of God’s family;

  • providing the best education possible so that all pupils are enabled to reach their full potential in every aspect of life

  • promoting growth in understanding the Christian faith and its relevance for daily living through acts of worship, the RE syllabus, church involvement and by developing a respect for other religions

  • creating and nurturing links between the school, home, church and the wider community.
